ODDA 27 compromises six individual covers intertwined within art, fashion, film and culture. The first two of these–Julian Elmenhorst wearing Jacquemus and Akbar Shamji wearing Gucci–explore the new generation of faces soon to take the industry by storm, with the latter intertwined into a larger cultural project surrounding the legacy of the Concorde. From there, we explore the world of artform with Drag Queen and fashion icon Symone, wearing Marni and exploring the power of the self through an artform that has changed the perception of what a runway is. Our next two covers dive into those that have cemented their legacies, yet continue to strive for moments of authentic creativity. Firstly, Laura Ponte. As one of the most recognisable faces in fashion, the Spanish model joins us wearing Louis Vuitton, exuding the sexual desire of culture and the days of Almodóvar and Jamón Jamón in Madrid. Secondly, Patricia Field. Maintaining a career of many facets–from her store to the larger than life career as a Costume Designer on programmes such as “Sex and the City” and “Emily in Paris”. Lastly our final cover is dedicated to the strength of perseverance and resilience that we all must face throughout the journey of life, Selma Blair, wearing Prada. ODDA No. 27 "Walk My Way" Fall/Winter 2024-25, Resort 2025, and a Preview of Spring/Summer 2025 embraces the essence of liberation–of the self, the body, and the mind. Positioned at the crossroads of fashion and culture, tradition and innovation, this issue weaves together the intricate threads of beauty, sexuality, love, and freedom, inviting readers to stride confidently down the runway of life. It is a deep dive into the bold ventures that we face and the decisions we actively make every day. We explore the faces of the runway, tracing its history with the likes of Helena Christensen and Rubuen Bilan-Carroll. Our focus shifts to those sitting comfortably in the front row and the evolution of such faces. With the late Gauthier Gallet and his contemporary, Francesc Planes, we take a look at how fashion has evolved and the ways that the industry is viewed from the outside. This led us to the compositional work of Michel Gaubert and the power of music on not only the biggest stages of design and marvel, but also in our daily lives…arguably the same. From Central Saint Martins’ Roger Tredre to Thierry Rondenet and Hervé Yvrenogeau at IFM, we cut the basics on how to pursue fashion in the modern world–also further emphasized through an exploration of Fashion Weeks outside of the Mainstream with Copenhagen, Seoul and Rakuten (Tokyo). From those teaching to those executing, we speak to the Costume Designers behind our favorite television moments, alongside Genta Ishizuka with his sculptural, fluid and bulbous objects recently harnessed by Jonathan Anderson and Loewe. While on pace, keep striding with the three individuals harnessing the power of their own journey, invoking freedom and liberation through a re-found Running Culture. ODDA No.27 “Walk My Way” also takes you to the Tokyo Edition Hotel with COMME des GARÇONS,Iceland and Istanbul with Dior, LA with CELINE and Chanel, Seoul with Max Mara, the never sleeping lights of New York with Taller Marmo, before rounding up with Louis Vuitton at the renowned site Pescetrullo, created in collaboration with the late friend of ODDA, Gaetano Pesce.
